Every year in late September, we head down our hill and spend three solid days watching movies at the Port Townsend Film Festival. This year’s guests are Beau Bridges and Chris Cooper, so we’re excited! We’re also hosting (in our home) Jon Gann, the founder/director of the D.C. Shorts Film Festival, and Joanne Feinberg, former program director for the Ashland Independent Film Festival. The house will be filled with lots of creative energy!
From short films to documentaries to full-length features, we have a long list of films to enjoy. Our days will begin at about 9:00 a.m. and go until as late as 11:00 p.m. We grab food wherever we can in between films, and we’ll be attending a few parties, too! It’s an exhausting, fun, exciting festival, our favorite of the year!
Do you enjoy films? What’s your latest favorite movie?
Have fun!
I definitely will!
Oh, I’m totally envious! I know you will have a GRAND Time!! Because of my lack of hearing we don’t go to movies… BUMMER!! I always miss out on the best parts of the movie.
Oh, that’s awful! So sorry you have hearing loss. My dad has macular degeneration, so when they go to the movies they have to sit in the front row so he can see anything at all…and forget anything with subtitles!
Sounds like a busy few days. Have fun.
It’s busy, but the days fly by! We really enjoy this festival.
Oh a film festival, how wonderful. Almost as eclectic as in my choice of books, I enjoy a wide range of films. Amongst my favourites are Edward Scissorhands and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I’ll never forget when a friend took me to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror. I had no idea! It was crazy fun. Believe it or not, I’ve never seen Edward Scissorhands…a shock since I like Johnny Depp. Thanks for visiting!
