As this is the time of year when we reflect on gratitude, I thought I would look back and show some of this past year’s best moments. In November of 2011 we first saw the house that’s now our home. While we’ve had some culture shock and adjustments to make, it’s all been worthwhile.
- We moved in in March, a bit late to start plants from seed, but I gave it my best shot! We ended up with plenty of beets, onions, broccoli, and greens. I even got a few tomatoes, though I did everything wrong to get them!
- And speaking of new life…
- But will I be able to spin flax into gold?

Nadine, sitting here in this cold room, attempting to warm my fingers whilst nursing a cup of coffee, I read your post and suddenly, warmth had seeped into the room!
