It’s Thursday again, which means…time to recommend a blog!
Boomer Cafe is one of my favorites. With a variety of writers submitting their work, I get to read many different perspectives of Baby Boomer life. I think even the younger whippersnappers that are aging but don’t qualify as Boomers would enjoy it, too.
Today’s offering is written by David Hemmings, who lost his job as he was about to turn 50. Check out how Hemmings turned the crisis into an opportunity.
In the meantime, I am in Day 3 of the Colorado Cleanse and am feeling GREAT! It’s just what the doctor ordered after a stressful move, and I am quickly starting to feel like myself again. Hope you have a great weekend! See you here next Tuesday.
I checked out Boomer Cafe, and I really, really like it. I saw several articles I want to go back to read. I enjoyed Hemmings’ post–his photos are awesome! I love stories about people following their passions.
Thanks for recommending!
Glad you took a look! I, too, love these stories.
I will check it now!! It’s through your post that I met Tina!! Thank you Nadine!!
I love it when people find each other. Some years ago I sold two copies of When a Grandchild Dies to women who lived in Calgary. I wrote each of them and asked if they would be interested in contacting each other, and they were. It was great to be able to connect them!
That is wonderful!!! I feel now as if all the persons visiting my Blog and reading or commenting are real friends. In fact I am sharing my private life with them, in much more details than I would do with a real friend here. Even if i never manage to meet anyone for real. I think we are friends.
